Baton

Originally commissioned by Yorgo Tloupas and Paul Chemetoff for the redesign of GQ France magazine. Designed by Yassin Baggar and Anton Koovit and first released in 2013 in five (narrow) weights plus italics.

Baton Turbo (2016, discontinued) was a spin-off with larger x-height and wider lettershapes, optimized for text.

Revised and extended in Dec. 2023 to two widths, normal and Condensed, each with seven weights in upright and italic, and an extended character set including Cyrillic (by Nikita Kanarev) and Greek (by George Triantafyllakos), now named Baton Nouveau (used for sample). Also available in variable font format.
