Information Extra Bold Wide). An extension of the
Information
family. Designed by Friedrich K. Sallwey and first cast in 20pt by Klingspor in
1956, shortly before the foundry stopped casting type. Later
expanded to sizes from 6 to 60pt at Stempel [Bertheau 1995]. Other sources state it was
first cast in 1958. Comes with two forms of ‘a’ [Stempel index
card].
No official digital revival exists as of 2024. Berthold released
one in 1993, but it is unavailable. YWFT Matter
and Not a
Number (poorly drawn) are uncredited digitizations.
