Designed by Aldo Novarese and Alessandro Butti, circa 1944–51. Spans four styles, including a condensed (Elongated) and an outlined (Open) style. [Reichardt, Jaspert]
Presumably, the name comes from Normande, the 19th-century “fat face” which has similar characteristics.
