As the name suggests, “Die Genusshandlung” is a place for exquisite specialties and delicacies from near and far.

This is how brothers Florian and Jonas Imfeld are introducing their gourmet store in Stans, Switerland, which they run since 2014. In the shop one can find a huge range of regional cheese and dairy products, suitable accompaniments, and many homemade specialties from their own factory.

For these products, Luzern-based designer Manuel Alonso developed a packaging design using various colorful brushstrokes and watercolor blots echoing the vivid tones of juices and dips. NewParis and GT Walsheim are used in combination on all the delis labels.

Appenzeller is renowned for its centuries-old Swiss cheese craftsmanship, originating in the mountains of Appenzell region. The use of a secret herbal brine in its maturation process gives it a distinct flavour, affirming its place in Swiss culinary culture.

Late September 2023, Appenzeller unveiled the latest addition to their assortment, Appenzellerin Elegant cheese, featuring a visual identity crafted by Contexta Agency. Revisiting the brand tradition with modernity, the design reflects the character and elegance of the cheese's flavours.

Appenzellerin® Elegant tastes quite different from its spicy Appenzeller® brothers and thus goes its own way in terms of taste. It is destined to lovers and friends of mild, floral-fruity cheeses. It presents itself as sweet and only discreetly aromatic, slightly milky and balanced. It is less spicy, but still full-bodied and seduces with a smooth charm. Perfect, therefore, for those who do not like it too spicy.

The Appenzellerin logotype and poster headlines are set in NewParis. The secondary typeface on the cheese label is Montserrat, while on the website texts are either using Suisse Int'l or SangBleu OG Sans with some titles set in Olivier. The logo is a custom work by Swiss Typefaces, a job which also included finetuning the Appenzeller Bear logo.

Harper’s Bazaar is an American monthly women's fashion magazine. Since its debut in 1867, as the U.S.’s first fashion magazine, its pages have been home to talent such as the founding editor, author and translator Mary Louise Booth, as well as numerous fashion editors, photographers, illustrators and writers.

When the magazine was redesigned in early 2021, STUDIO 191’s Laura Genninger followed the path of Alexey Brodovitch, the original Art Director of the magazine who notoriously started the trend associating Modern typefaces (also know as Didot/Bodoni, or Didone) to luxury and high-end fashion, by choosing NewParis as the main titling face. For the body text it was complemented by SangBleu OG Serif. An unidentified grotesk [probably Helvetica Now, see comments] is completing the trio.

A painting by Eugène Delacroix inspired by Shakespeare’s famous drama, Othello and Desdemona, is the source of reflection and the origin of the exhibition Desdémone. Entre désir et désespoir, presented at the Institut du Monde Arabe in March 2015.

To go with the exhibition, a vinyl record with a recording of French actress Louise Bourgouin has been released. The record also serves as the exhibition catalog as a folded poster in the sleeve unfold into a real booklet, displaying all informations contained in the exhibition with the painting as a centerpiece.

Both the signage for the exhibition and the impressive vinyl release have been designed by Parisian studio Prototype, using NewParis and Euclid Flex in a very creative and playful way.

Freshly restored in 2019, Hauteville House welcomed Victor Hugo and his family during his exile from 1856 to 1870 (for opposing Napoleon III). Entirely decorated and furnished by Victor Hugo, the house is a work in itself, bearing the imprint of the author through a multitude of inscriptions, symbols and furnitures that he designed.

Atelier Pentagon designed the guide with a dashing combination of IKANSEEYOUALL for titles, NewParis KingSize Air for pull quotes, and Founders Grotesk for body text. This mix, combined with blue-tinted pages, gives a very vivid and dynamic look to this small publication.

Maous is a graphic design studio run by Anton Moglia in Paris, France. The minimal yet warm redesign of their website features NewParis by Swiss Typefaces and Gangster Grotesk, designed by Adrien Midzic. The agency's logotype was custom made.

NewParis KingSize Air Italic is used throughout the website for headlines, while different weights of Gangster Grotesk are used in both text, menus, and other smaller elements. Gangster Grotesk is available as a free download on Fresh Fonts.

“Rebelle” is a project which was born from the Experimental Type class at ArtCenter College of Design. “Rebelle” can be understood as exploring and practicing typography through fashion and clothing. From a more macro standpoint in the fashion industry, “Rebelle” is a graphic designer’s response to the wide-spread notion of breaking the boundary between high fashion and streetwear. It is essentially luxury streetwear created by a generation Y designer, revealing the will to be part of other existing luxury streetwear brand explorers.

The project contains clothing designs, fashion photography, a promotional video, stationery, the brand catalogue with a line-sheet, a brand manual, a packaging design set, and collateral.

The core design philosophy of Rebelle is using typography as the primary approach to deliver direct and indirect communication. One major design approach is to use words, sentences, and paragraphs along with powerful imagery to directly present Rebelle’s audience with seasonal themes. The logo is based on SangBleu Empire Black. Using the thick-and-thin characteristic from SangBleu Empire to bring the qualities of Rebelle, as a Millennial's rebellious fashion brand. The modification on few letters on the logotype is mimicking the silhouettes of urban cities as well. For all other typography, a selection of two other type collections from Swiss Typefaces is used: NewParis from the NewParis collection, and Suisse Int’l, Suisse Int’l Condensed and Suisse Works from the Suisse collection. The combination of the serif and san-serif intents to reveal a sense of duality, being classic and contemporary.

Using imagery is the secondary approach for Rebelle to communicate with its audience. For Rebelle’s first season (“Rebelle Collection” and “Ré•volution” Collection), it is applying paintings and visual elements from the Romanticism period to imply that rebellions have occurred throughout human history. Each period has its own type of rebellion.

By placing the word “Re•volution” up-side down shows a parallel with many Renaissance paintings used, indicating information could only be seen by God.

Rebelle also inspires, presenting its own attitude and raising specific social topics through indirect communication like using subtexts conveyed by paralanguage. This can be largely found in Rebelle’s “Ré•volution” campaign posters, such as “This Is Not a Rebellion” and “This Is Not an Execution”.

Branding for Francina Models by Mucho, with an up-to-date take on the classic fashion combo: a high contrast serif – Swiss Typefaces' NewParis – and a low contrast sans, in this case Lineto's LL Brown.

New visual identity for the exhibition space Strauhof, based in Zurich. It was designed by international branding agency Process Group.

The identity was created with the NewParis typeface.

The underlying concept focuses squarely on the function of an exhibition space – it is all about opening up ideas and spaces, uncovering and discovering. The Strauhof is a place that invites being explored. The design mark of the logo, the initial letter “S”, is depicted against an abstract graphical representation of the folded-over corner of a page – as if marking a place in a book – and so has been cut off slightly at the bottom. The design mark thus becomes easily identifiable as a signet. A space is created upon which external designers can “strut and fret their hour upon the stage” under the Strauhof’s banner. The exhibition on display at any given time provides the base colour palette and key visual for the visual identity, which is then deployed across all communications channels, such as the website, newsletter, invitations, tickets, etc. The principally informative and orientation-based meta-level complements this communications-based level.
