Radiant Bold Extra Condensed was originally designed by Robert H. Middleton for Ludlow in 1938, as part of the Radiant series. Available with alternate round caps. Offered by Letraset in 1989. [Letraset Range Extension brochure, 1989]

It is included in the digitizations by URW, Elsner+Flake, Image Club (1995), Castcraft, and Red Rooster. Jason Castle’s interpretation was commissioned by Emporium (now Macy’s) for use in their Sunday supplement to the San Francisco Examiner. Later completed with lowercase letters and expanded with two new weights, Light and Medium, and released as Radiant Extra Condensed CT (CastleType, used for sample).
