Handsome Brook Farms partnered with Redscout to bring joy, clarity, and purpose to the egg aisle, creating a brand that leads with its values and celebrates its pasture-raised spirit.

Redscout selected Krana Fat by Schick Toikka for its bold, lively personality. Balancing prominence and warmth, the type helps Handsome Brook Farms stand out on crowded grocery shelves while staying true to the brand’s organic, ethical roots. Its rounded, slightly quirky shapes reflect the farm’s values: natural charm, genuine character, and a joyful break from industrial food production norms.

Paired with hand-made illustrations and a lively color palette, the typeface helps the brand open a new chapter with warmth, confidence, and joy.

This story generator was developed from texts written by Gennevilliers residents and inspired by the arrival of the new metro, as part of La Société du Grand Paris’ shared project. In the form of a terminal, it travels to several public places in Gennevilliers in 2023 and 2024. Fragments of these stories are punched into painted metal plaques, scattered around the project’s various stakeholders.

This project was developed in partnership with La Ville de Gennevilliers and Centquatre-Paris. Writing accompaniment was provided by Valérie Mréjen. The development was carried out by Hugo Hilaire. The terminal was designed by Jacques Averna and built by EFR Scéno.

Studio Double used the typeface Beretta Sans designed by Damien Gautier (205TF) and Krana Fat designed by Florian Schick and Lauri Toikka (Schick Toikka).

For the Olgam Life brand, MadeByShape chose Krana Fat, a bold and rounded typeface, to convey warmth and reliability. This font’s thick, impactful letters help emphasise the luxury and wellness focus of the brand. This font is utilised to highlight key messages and brand values. It is prominently featured in headings and standout text across the brand website and marketing materials. Its modern style and friendly appearance align perfectly with Olgam Life’s ethos, enhancing the brand’s visual identity.

Lacrima Senza by Alexander Colby is used for smaller texts.

Diego eterno (“Eternal Diego”) is a large-format book devoted entirely to the controversial sporting life of Argentine football idol Diego Armando Maradona (1960–2020), “widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport”. The book features more than 400 photographs of the player who scored, in the same match (the 1986 World Cup in Mexico), a goal with his hand (known as “the hand of God”) and a goal widely regarded as one of the greatest in football history.

Art direction, design and editorial production were overseen by Chilean editorial designer Paula Barahona Vicencio, head of Estudio Vicencio. The book was typeset using two families: Krana Fat by Schick Toikka for titles and Lira Sans by Quintana-Font for general texts, quotes, and captions.

This full-page photograph captures one of the most iconic and controversial moments in football history.

During Halloween 2016, The Hague based indie band Vuigtuig released their second album, full of macabre and morbid humour and haunting fictional horror sound tracks. The album artwork uses the recently released Krana Fat for its band logo, and the album title is rendered in Nihilist (released just in time for finishing the artwork). Information is set in a mix of Sentinel, Venus Condensed and Errata.

Vitoni is a new ready-to-drink light aperitif inspired by traditional Italian spritz of the 1950s. Identity and Art direction by Carosello Lab. The Vitoni logo is set in Krana Fat, paired with Nord for most copy, and Plaak 2 Griffon as the secondary typeface. The website uses Poppins for body copy.

Made only with white wine and tonic water, its authentic taste is perfect to be enjoyed as the lighter alternative to usual spritz. As part of our strategic consultancy we formulated a straightforward insight: Vitoni values lightness above all: lightness of spirit, of heart and of taste. This concept allowed us to better define the brand essence and its positioning on the market as the Aperitivo Leggero Italiano (the Light Italian Aperitif).

After this analytical preliminary phase, made in close collaboration with the client, we synthesized Vitoni’s identity and core values into visual and verbal expressions. The label presents the vintage heritage of the brand, presenting it to a young audience sensitive to design, health, authenticity and quality. The simple and clean design, with a touch of retrò aesthetic, creates a bold personality that stands out in today’s crowded communication landscape.

Aside the brand identity and its manifestations, CAROSELLO conceptualized a communication strategy named Quartiere Aperitivo, Vitoni’s guide to the coolest neighborhoods in Italy and Europe. To launch this journey, CAROSELLO produced the imagery and copywriting for the first chapter, Milano Navigli.

John&Jane was invited to speak with Pobl, a group of companies offering great homes, care and support that make a difference to people’s lives. They were looking to chat about a new idea for a coffee shop. A business developed around the idea of helping those who run it. People who have been effected by homelessness would be hired and trained to be top class baristas, therefore enabling them to easily find work going forward, creating independence and providing a great service to customers of the coffee shop. This would be coffee with purpose.

We're grateful to have been trusted by Pobl to lead on the naming and branding of this project. After a quick but very thorough discovery period we settled on the name “One Twelve Coffee”. Not only does this reference the number of the property itself but it's also the statistic often used to demonstrate just how many people are affected by homelessness – one in twelve UK inhabitants. To represent this visually we used a set of single-line illustrations, at once individual faces but also unidentifiable. We felt this represents the experience of homelessness, you're an individual but oftentimes ignored, faceless and defined by your situation. We used the many individual faces en masse in our designs but then highlight just one to represent the one in twelve. We want to use the power of branding to work towards putting an end to homelessness.

We knew typography was going to be an extremely important part of the brand. We needed a typeface to compliment the unique nature of Raisonné which is what we used and customised for the word mark. When we found Krana Fat and started to play around with it we realised we had our second typeface. The playful but honest nature of Krana Fat compliments the word mark perfectly.

The Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá is a biennial event and one of the most important cultural festivals in Latin America. After some years marked by difficulties, the FITB came to Siegenthaler & Co with the intention of renewing itself looking for a new, fresh language, aimed at a young audience.

We decided to use a simple and direct word as the communication axis for the 16th edition of the FITB: “¡Vuelve!” (“Coming back!”) It was our flag to celebrate the arrival in Bogota of one of the most important events on the continent.

We wanted to give much more strength to this word, so we chose a strong, bold and unexpected typography that looked imposing. In addition to this, the typography was going to be very characteristic due to the movement generated by its 2 weights, plus, the unpredictable factor of being able to use any of these weights depending on the piece, which was going to be the most important characteristic in the graphic system.

Comedy Feast is a new roaming family festival combining three of life’s greatest pleasures — food, drink and laughter. For the launch of the pilot experience at Lincolnshire Castle, Only were commissioned to create a simple brand identity that would inspire audiences to engage with the experience. Over time, the identity would need to flex to accommodate new locations spanning the length and breadth of the UK.

The identity is set in a bespoke version of Krana Fat by Schick Toikka. The typeface was chosen for its flamboyant and unexpected character. A playful graphic line device mischievously intersects with the typography across applications.

The 2014 edition of Kalender der Straße features 12 large-sized contemporary photographies from the picture library of the Zeitschrift der Straße, selected by Peter Bialobrzeski (World Press Photo Award winner). The calendar also features a selection of the best stories and moments from the past 18 issues of the street newspaper from Bremen.
