I designed the official poster, banner and calendar collaterals for the 2023 edition of the Maryland Film Festival at Parkway Theatre in Baltimore.

Current Affairs, a political and cultural magazine founded in 2015, uses Essonnes for all of its headlines, larger captions, and pull-quotes. Garamond Premier is the text typeface and Futura is used for navigation and buttons.

Elementarz dla dzieci (“A primer for children”) was printed in 1879 in Warsaw by Jósef Unger. ABC books became very popular in 18th century. Due to widespread illiteracy in the 19th century they also became popular among adults. I picked Obsidian (H&Co) as it refers to historical steelplate engraved typefaces. It was produced as a set of two chromatic layers: Highlight and Background. Fonts can be individually colored and superimposed in register to create different effects. Essonnes (JTD Type) is used as a companion.

Elementarz dla dzieci is part of the New Dimension of Old Typography series which consists of 10 redesigns of Polish books from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. The designs were produced as a part of a doctoral dissertation at the Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku (Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland).

Precisiones sobre la incerteza (Precisions about uncertainty) is a book of poems by Colombian writer Alejandra Lerma, published by Sic Semper Tyrannis Editores in 2017.

The core of the project was to find out how to show femininity and feminism without having an activist look. Mrs Eaves represents that, a type family designed by Zuzana Licko in the digital font design revolution of the 1990s. A serif for long texts with soft details in terminals and serifs. As a complement, Essonnes (designed by James Todd) was used to create strong titles without losing the feminine look represented by the high contrast of the letters.

The project is the culmination of first-hand accounts of change taking place in the North American West.
