1850, followed by the italic Fette Kursiv (1851)

The Roman was digitally revived by Peter Wiegel and extended with Cyrillic and Greek characters and two additional weights, a Shadow and a Hollow (outlined) version. Released as Fette Bauersche Antiqua (used for the sample) under the SIL Open Font License in 2012.
