family by Gans. Greco was sold by Stephens, Shanks &
Sons as Bristol, with the ornamented cut named
Rosart.
Digital versions include Greco Deco Inline (Lazy
Dog Foundry, 1992), Bristol (GroupType, 1996, initially
released as Greco Adornado and Solid;
used for this sample) and Nick Curtis’s Melina
(Bitstream, 1990) which adds a lowercase. Ramona (WSI,
1992) is a poor rendition with a lowercase that appears to be
derived from Goudy. Greko Deco (Dave
Fabik, 1992, free for non-commercial use) is an autotraced version
based on a showing in a Dover clipart More…
