Neuland licht

Neuland licht (or Lichte Neuland, Neuland Inline) was issued by Klingspor in 1928 [Reichardt 2011]. Balto’s copies “were recut by pantagraph from one size […] and thus are uniform from one size to another. The white inline […] is slightly wider than in the German version.” [McGrew 1993]

For a long time, URW Nueland and Doug Olena’s FFD Neuland (Keystrokes, discontinued) were the only digital versions of Neuland to include the inline version. In 2023, Poem published Koch Lichte Grotesk, an accurate revival of the 12 pt Cicero size. It is used for the sample.
