Designed by Herbert Bayer and released by Berthold in three weights in 1935. In 1937, two italic styles were added as Bayer-Kursiv [Reichardt 2011] [Wetzig 1926–40]. Promotional material uses a stylized spelling, with the designer’s name in all lowercase and framed.
