Elmina is a contemporary Ghanaian restaurant in Washington, D.C., opened by celebrated chef and restaurateur Eric Adjepong. Influenced by his love for global cuisines, the aim is a bold dining experience that goes beyond a mere meal.

Polygraph created the visual identity. OS Korhogo became the foundation for the primary logo, with a few minor adjustments to the overall thickness of the wordmark and stylizing the A to better align with the aesthetic. The website uses Adobe Caslon and Proza Libre, and two yet unidentified typefaces (a proportional and a monospaced sans) were picked for the menu texts.

A multilingual single page website for a Rotterdam based property management company that does things differently. From logo to small print, all typography uses Proza Libre by fellow Rotterdammer Jasper de Waard. The eyes used on the website follow the visitor’s cursor movement.

We worked with our sister company, thread to create a bright and playful visual identity for their inaugural design festival, Something Good – a two-day design festival that champions creativity and celebrates the magic of the creative process.

The branding design had to reflect the central theme of the festival and appeal to a diverse audience of creatives. As well as a logo, the visual language was rolled out across digital and print, including signage, promotional print, t-shirts, website, social media and a very special bike.

The logo with the smiley made from a double O is based on Galano Grotesque by René Bieder. On the website, F37 Jan is paired with Proza Libre by Bureau Roffa.

The wayfinding system uses F37 Jan with rotalics.
