An evolving typeface series designed for Dot Dot
Dot magazine. The first version, Mitim Alpha,
was created in 2005 for DDD
11. For each issue, a new installment was made, “in response to
the changing conditions of its production: the context, theme,
approach and spirit as well as restrictions in production
processes, and the needs of specific contributions.” Mitim
Gamma (DDD 13)
was made in collaboration with Louis Lüthi and Stuart Bailey, and
includes “obscure literary, mathematical, scientific and other
symbols” [Bailey].
Mitim Kappa was used for the final issue, DDD
20, in 2010. Mitim Lambda is a version made for
Åbäke’s catalog for the
Chaumont festival More…
