Designed by August Hajduk and first cast by Bauer in 1909. Often also spelled Haiduk-Antiqua. Sold in Spain as Giralda. Comes with many alternates (‘BEFJKMPRSZ’) and ligatures for ‘SP’ and ‘ST’. Extended with Kursiv (1910) and halbfett (1911) styles, latter also with alternates for ‘BEFKMPRSZ’. The mager has a double-storey ‘g’ (with open loop in larger sizes), the halbfett a single-store form. Accompanied by a set of border elements (Einfassungen zur Haiduk-Antiqua). Also adopted for the Linotype [Reichardt 2011] [Bauer specimen] [Wetzig 1926–40].
