Designed by August Hajduk and first cast by Bauer in 1909. Often also spelled Haiduk-Antiqua. Comes with many alternates (‘BEFJKMPRSZ’) and ligatures for ‘SP’ and ‘ST’. Extended with Kursiv (1910) and halbfett (1911) styles, latter also with alternates for ‘BEFKMPRSZ’. The mager has a double-storey ‘g’ (with open loop in larger sizes), the halbfett a single-store form. Accompanied by a set of border elements (Einfassungen zur Haiduk-Antiqua). Also adopted for the Linotype. [Reichardt, Bauer specimen, Seemann]
