Canada’s first roman text typeface, created in 1967 by Carl Dair to celebrate Canada’s centennial [MyFonts] and issued by the Mono Lino Typesetting Company in Toronto in roman and italic styles, the latter without caps. Raleigh is a display derivative made in 1977 for phototype.
Digitally revived by Rod McDonald as Cartier Book (Monotype, 2000) and, more faithfully, by Nick Shinn as Dair (ShinnType, 2017).
