By Alexander Kay for MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan, 1884. [Canada Type] The series spans Ronaldson Old Style, Extended (c.1885), Condensed (before 1889), and Title Slope (before 1891). [Reichardt] Ronaldson Clarendon is a bolder style.
There are two digital interpretations from Cercurius (as Fitzronald, 2003) and Canada Type (2008). The latter (used for sample) is the much more complete, but lacks size-specific cuts which varied quite a bit in the original metal. It adds bold, italic, and other extras that didn’t exist in the original.
