Designed in 1930–33 by Morris F. Benton for ATF, in three weights, each in two widths. Poster Gothic is the same design as Bank Gothic Condensed Medium, adjusted for larger sizes. The regular weights of Bank Gothic were adopted by Linotype, who named the condensed cuts Card Gothic (1936). Ludlow’s copy is Commerce Gothic and Intertype’s DeLuxe Gothic.
