CastleType was commissioned in 1991 by San Francisco Focus magazine to digitize 3 members of the Standard family [see Akzidenz-Grotesk]. Released in or before 2003. Expanded in 2008 to 3 widths of 4 weights each. “The three lighter weights of the Extended subfamily were designed from scratch based on the new Standard CT Regular and Standard CT Extended Extra Bold.” Further expanded with 4 more light weights for each of the 3 widths.
