For the release the new corporate identity, Simbayu Studios represented by the art director and photographer Julian Schröpel, dropped a small hoody collection together with the creator collective Everpress.

The design on the back displays a stronger representation of what the “studios” means for him – abstract, different and creative. In the image we see what it feels like when you look forward to recharge in your homeland surrounded by the alps and water.

The part of Simbayu which is written in Baskerville, a typeface that followed him his entire career, represents mainly the intimate and classic photography work within the studio.

House of Love is the ninth studio album by singer-songwriter Amy Grant. It was released in 1994 as the follow-up to her quintuple-platinum 1991 release Heart in Motion. At the time, “House of Love was the biggest initial release in Christian music history, shipping almost a half million copies on its first day alone.” [Wikipedia]

The US album cover was designed by Norman Moore with art direction by Richard Frankel. It uses Treefrog (Brian Willson, 1994) for the name and lowercase letters from Otl Aicher’s Rotis SemiSerif (1988) for the title and the track list. The same typographic choices were maintained for the European release, although with a different layout and photography.

The second single from this album is also named “House of Love”. The song was recorded as a duet with country singer Vince Gill. This cover was designed by Moore, too. The font he used here is Democratica (Miles Newlyn, 1991), in loosely spaced lowercase letters, framed by a box.
