News Gothic Extra Condensed

The narrowest style in the News Gothic family was part of the initial release in 1908. Compare to the bolder, squarer Alternate Gothic (1903). See also LTC Jefferson Gothic and Phenix American.

No official digital revival. Bitstream/Paratype’s version is not as condensed as the original. News Flash (2022) is a hobbyist digitization by Justin Hoggard of Star Wars Fonts.
