Introduced by the Keystone Type Foundry in 1901 and advertised as “a witchey typeface” [cf. Salem witch trials] [McGrew 1993]. Various extras: alternates (incl. for ‘ELRS’), a ‘Th’ ligature, and catchwords (“of”, “the”, and”). Accompanied by fractions and ornaments [1906 specimen] [1910 specimen]. Later adopted by Lanston Monotype [McGrew 1993].

A phototype adaptation was named Lunar Flair [Lettergraphics 1968–1975] [Lettergraphics 1976] [Fürst c.1976].

Adramalech (Scriptorium, 1993) is a digitization of poor quality, with limited character set. Zangezi (Daria Cohen, 2018) is a more elaborate albeit looser interpretation.
