some or all credit to Morris F. Benton. It is a modernized adaption of
Priory Text, an 1870s version of
Caslon Text. Two forms for ‘V’ and ‘W’.
Flemish Black offered a different set of caps.

issued by Amsterdam in 1910 [Reichardt 2011].
Monotype’s variation is

English. It can be distinguished by the missing spurs on
‘bhk’, among other things. There are digital versions of
Cloister Black from Bitstream/Tilde and CastleType.
