Pacella Barrel is shown in Photo-Lettering’s One Line catalog (1971), but was used at least as early as 1969. Biform alternates for ‘a’, ‘n’, and likely more letters.
Gemini Biform is a very similar design shown in Lettergraphics’ Letterfan from 1968 (spelled Gemni in a 1969 edition). Shown in Castcraft’s Encyclopedia of Phototype Styles (1978) as Tupper. Also appears in FotoStar’s Film Font Digest, here with an ‘e’ that is flatter on the left. Origin and designer unknown. Alternates for ‘aemnow’.
Another similar typeface is shown as Nichols in Dan X. Solo’s Moderne Alphabets (1999), without biform alternates and with a beardless ‘G’.
Scalar Biform NF (Nick’s Fonts, 2014) is a digitization based on the FotoStar version and is used for the ampersand and the second line of the sample.
