Designed in-house and issued by Schelter & Giesecke in schmal and halbfett styles in 1896. A licht (open) followed in 1900, and could be combined with the halbfett for two-color printing. The name for poster sizes was Nerita, with slightly condensed proportions.
New Deutsch as shown in the Solotype catalog (1992) appears to be a version with romanized glyphs for ‘D’, ‘E’, ‘N’.
The halbfett was digitized by Gerhard Helzel in 2002, and, less successfully, by Intellecta Design as Münster Gotische in 2009.
