Bentley was designed by Joe Taylor as a “revision of ‘Arthur Thinline’”, in a single weight, possibly in late 1969 or early 1970, and made available by Lettergraphics [Taylor]. Shown in five styles (Thinline, Light, Regular, Bold, Outline), each with Biform variants [Lettergraphics 1968–1975]. All styles but the Bold were shown already in 1970. [Lettergraphics 1970] Alternates for ‘A E E Y e f m r t 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9’. [Oka] Also shown in FotoStar’s Film Font digest (after 1981).
Digitized by Shin Oka as Bentley DF (Daylight Fonts, 2010).
