Flemish Expanded is credited to Nicholas J. Werner and Elisha Pechey and was first cast by Stephenson Blake in 1890. [Reichardt 2011] Flemish Condensed (1905) was bought by Stephenson Blake from the Inland Type Foundry. [Devroye] The Expanded was cast by Deberny & Cie and later Deberny & Peignot as Fantasques Larges (with Greek characters) and by Urania as Serie Piramidi. The Condensed was also carried by Pavyers & Bullens. [Reichardt 2011]
Brussels (Solotype) is a digital interpretation that is narrower than the Expanded, but wider than the Condensed.
