Issued by Flinsch as Alpha-Antiqua in 1910, together with Beta-Antiqua, which is distinguished by 9 glyphs with uncialish forms (‘ABDELMNPR’). [Bertheau] Later shown as Alpha-Beta. [Alphabete und Ornamente, Flinsch] A narrower style followed in 1911, as Schmale Alpha-Beta. [VdS] Accompanied by Alpha-Beta-Schmuck (ornaments) and Wegener-Initialen, a set of decorated initials akin to the novelty caps [Klingspor-Museum] Bauer later sold the regular as Alpha and a bolder weight as Fette Alpha.
