The cover for N.W.A’s debut studio album was designed by Helane Freeman for Priority Records. Mistral is used in all caps. The title is vertically stretched.
The initials in the informal 1950s script from France reappeared on several later releases, effectively becoming the group’s logo.
The credits are a sea of all-caps Univers Italic.
