Fleurop Germany
Fleurop is the European branch of Interflora, a flower delivery network, associated with over 58,000 affiliated flower shops in over 140 countries. In the USA the company operates as FTD. [Wikipedia]
Kudos to Fleurop Germany for using a distinctive and imaginative typeface! Unlike Interflora.co.uk, the Swiss fleurop.ch (both Neue Helvetica) or fleurop.com (Arial with the freebie Halo Handletter), the German flower messengers rely on Sibylle Hagmann’s Elido (Kontour).
This versatile contemporary sans-serif is employed in all media, from billboard ads and shop posters to the website, often prominently featuring its peculiar Upright Italic. Quite recently, even the old logo with the outlined yellow sausage letters has been replaced with (slightly rounded) plain brown caps from Elido Bold, at least online.
Fleurop’s customer magazine feelings used to have a nameplate in Mister K Informal. In November 2015, the publication has been renamed to Bunte Blumenwelt, now also starring Elido Upright Italic.
