Signs and wayfinding for the Saint Louis Art Museum’s expansion by David Chipperfield Architects. The system works across two connected buildings: the original and main Beaux Arts building designed by Cass Gilbert in 1904 and the new pavilion by David Chipperfield completed in 2013. Scala Sans is used for building navigation and donor signage, while Sabon is used for identification signage in more formal spaces, such as the museum’s restaurant.
