Dr. Scholl’s launched the Original Exercise Sandal in 1965. Sold in drugstores as a way to tone legs, the sandal became an iconic 60s fashion accessory when worn by Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy.

To mark the sandal’s 50th anniversary, the collection was renamed the “The Original’s Sandal’s” and a new identity, using Venus Extended and Janson, was created. A booklet that tells the sandal’s story and an invitation to the collection preview uses Janson for text and Granby for punctuation.
