Cultura is the new cultural supplement to Americas Quarterly, “the premier publication dedicated to politics, business and culture in the Western Hemisphere, with a focus on Latin America.”

The multiline typeface used for the logo and the edition’s title is the bold weight of Azote, designed by Thomas Jockin and released in 2015. Azote is inspired by Lance Wyman’s work for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Jockin graduated from the inaugural Type@Cooper class with Garçon Grotesque in 2011, one year before art director Donald Partyka completed this post-graduate certificate program with Benda.
