1 Comment on “The Inland Printer, Jan 1935”
In 1995 myself & late mother salvaged at no.10 Tollington Avenue, Malvern East, Melbourne Australia), numerous, still envelopped copies of both The Inland Printer USA & The Lithographer England (1935) which had remained on the (outside) premises of a home business printery for nye on half a century plus. Included in these serial copies were the seminal, 1939 commemorative New York Worlds Fair edition along with full colour ghold embossed printed label sample inserts for “All Good” string (french) beans and “Jan-U-Wine Chop Suey” a brand of the San Franciscan “Oriental Food Company”. The Decorative Arts League in Victoria Australia would be very interested in learning about the typographic styling of this era along with any information on the “reactionary” folkloric typographer Martin Benka.
In fervent anticipation of your reply, may I thank you for your informative & well illustrated site and your attentive consideration.
