A mechanically slanted Pistilli Roman with some added swashes. Though an italic for the typeface was announced, I don’t believe it was ever released.
First UK edition, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 1978. The color fills on the ‘a’s have gone missing here! A pre-press error, perhaps.
