Design Reporter was an initiated project that coincided with the 2009 State of Design Festival. It was a proposition to the local media that there is space for an intelligent, inclusive and broad form of design journalism that we felt was currently lacking in Australia, particularly in the mainstream press. The project was both an implicit critique of the local media and an offering, up for acceptance or rejection, both in terms of design and content. We saw it as a test of our criticisms of local newspapers, and our ability to deliver something 'better’, or of more interest, or simply different. — Chase and Galley
