With Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space we see British artist Spiritualized ascend into space rock royalty. The album takes the band’s previous cues of shoegaze and jazz, here coming together in a catalyst of pure noise and emotion.
Equally iconic as the music is Mark Farrow’s album artwork. Designed in his trademark minimal style, it relies solely on Neue Helvetica and references the all too familiar packaging of prescription medicine, echoing the themes of both the album and the era. Farrow even went so far as to create a version in an enlarged medicine box, featuring an oversize blister pack containing the disc and a lengthy leaflet with dosage instructions.
Since its initial release, several special editions have been produced. Among the most noteworthy of those is one from 2009, featuring a reversed artwork and every song in its own individual, blister packed 3-inch CD.

Mark Farrow, not Mike
Right you are, of course — fixed.
Wonderful album. Exceptional art + packaging too.
Pretty sure this is Neue Helvetica.
Agreed, and adjusted. Thanks!
