A signage system for a local public library in the Sant Pere neighbourhood of central Barcelona.

Due to its location within an historic and somewhat shabby building with a confusing layout, the library presented several difficulties. The panel concept was devised as a cost effective solution to these challenges. A simple typography was used on a shelf system giving considerable flexibility in the positioning of the signs. The panels themselves were designed to evoke books and pictures and to be in harmony with the grandeur of the building.
