I’ve designed an occupational safety and health reference guide for movie set workers in Turkey. The text is about risks in the workplace. Each page is about a certain task and discusses relevant risks, potential hazards, and precautions, including a checklist.
What I needed was a strong typeface, so it can immediately catch your attention. However, it shouldn’t be thick and heavy, but easy to read when the information is as long as a paragraph.
The book size is 5×7.5″ (13×19cm) and I tried Bernina Sans from Just Another Foundry. Bernina is a subset of the Bernini series. I used the Condensed and Regular weights, which worked out great. In addition, I used icons from the flaticon website, included in a set by madebyoliver. The set is offered with a free license that only requires to give credit. This was helpful.
