La Batterie / Scène musicale de Guyancourt

It was at the end of a tender offer that we were entrusted with the design of the visual identity for La Batterie (“The Battery”), the music center of Guyancourt, France. Our idea was to convey energy and the rhythmic striking in a very structured, or even geometric logic, in order to be faithful to the place. Indeed, this music center was built on the site of an old military battery, so the name pays tribute both to the building and the music. The custom titling typeface — Battle HM by Hubert Munier ©2017 — is combined with other typefaces for concert posters, program leaflets and other media.
