Silica is a (fictional) womenswear label that offers handcrafted, essential pieces for everyday life. The title comes from the chemical of the same name, which serves a multitude of practical purposes – just like the label’s own pieces.

As with the clothes themselves, the bespoke wordmark has been carefully constructed to ensure a look that’s both timeless and forward-thinking. The serif’s classic touch is freshened with a glowing stroke, exposing the logo’s structure and providing the mark with a style that’s lightweight, modern, and distinct. Optionally placed to the left of the word is a set of 3 stars, which symbolize the 3 atoms that make up the compound silicon dioxide.

The label launches in Spring/Summer 2018 with the Wildflower campaign. The project includes two advertisements, an invitation to the Paris Fashion Week debut, a lookbook for the season’s releases, and a website mockup styled to match the line.
