   The artist of this cover artwork is Alex Abel. As far as I know, the art was created in 1974.

   Thanks, Martin! I’ve added a link to ISFDB above. Yes, this art was already used for an edition by Ace Books from 1974. I added Alex Ebel’s name to the credits, but also left “unknown”, as Ebel doesn’t take credit for the typography of the shown 1994 edition.
