In 2016, AREA 17 was approached by Condé Nast to design a website prototype for the upcoming French edition of Wired magazine.
A trial issue was edited and send to selected readers but the magazine was eventually discarded and the website rejected.
But it did not prevent the team from AREA 17 to design a functional website, with responsive layout. They had much fun with several typefaces from Production Type. The UI is built around Minotaur Sans,Gemeli Mono and Cogito. Tiempos from Klim Type is used alternately with Cogito for long articles. Other titles are set with Minotaur Beef, Druk Wide and a few other typefaces.
