  1. A beautiful find, Kirsten! The illustration (or the whole ad?) was designed by Georg Belwe, see the “GB” monogram enclosed in a rhombus. He had used a similar one here. Belwe was closely associated with Schelter & Giesecke, and had released almost all of his typeface designs with the Leipzig foundry, from Belwe-Gotisch (1912) to the last extensions for Shakespeare-Mediäval (1930).
