Decorative poster for the car liability insurance. The composition bears the influence of Pop Art. The artist was self-taught and worked in the Pannonia Cartoon Studio. The poster displays a typical car of the socialist Hungary: a Lada. The text calls the attention of the audience that the second half of the automobile liability insurance is due on the 1st of July. The text is arranged in an exciting way, which fits in the perspective of the whole composition.
The typeface is Black Pepper, a rare film face drawn by Peter Steiner and made exclusively available from Herkner in Stuttgart before 1973. Steiner explored similar terrain with Black Body (1973) and the bi-line Dektiv Double (1975), which were both distributed by Berthold Fototypes.
