“An interactive cookbook of recipes from all 32 nations vying for the biggest trophy in sports – the World Cup”

In the group stage of the 2014 World Cup, UK-born New Yorkers Sam Morris and Shannon Thomas invited friends over to watch the England—Uruguay game, and eat food from the opponent’s national kitchen. Uruguay won the game but the idea of a ‘world cup cook book’ was born and now, 4 years later, it has been launched in the shape of a website: theworldcook.com.

Starting off with an initial eight recipes, The World Cook will be updated throughout the group stage of the World Cup. Check out the home page for a date of when the nation you are supporting will be revealed. By June 29th, you’ll be able cook along to a traditional favorite or culinary stand-out from each of the 32 nations. — theworldcook.com
