Intravenosa (Intravenous) started out as a small university film festival. 2017 saw its 9th and final edition (El Último Intravenosa). After this transition point, it will continue as Festival Internacional de Cine Corto de Cali, the International Short Film Festival of the city of Cali, Colombia.

The concept started by tearing the number nine with two intentions: [1] to show how the old festival is being destroyed to give way to a new one, and [2] to reference the festival trophy. It’s named La Garra de Oro (The Claw of Gold) after the first anti-capitalism movie made in Colombia (Garras de Oro, PP. Jambrina, 1927). Its attitude represents the core of the ideal of the young people who produce short films by their own.

Adso was used as the main typeface for the identify. It has contemporary Gothic characteristics that, if one looks at its diagonal terminals and the large x-height, can be evocative of claws. It was paired with FF Tisa Sans, a simpler and cleaner sans serif that helps reading at times when the main typeface is too dense.
