Regular readers of Fonts In Use may have seen an earlier use of Cooper Nouveau Swash 10 on a record sleeve for Fats Domino. In this application from 1973, the type takes a back seat to the luscious illustration by Sandy Hoffman. Previously released on ABC Records, this is a reissue by Pickwick Records.

The cardboard sleeve to an 8-track tape cartridge offers less space than the cover for a 12″ vinyl record. Instead of scaling the illustration down beyond recognition, just a detail with Domino’s face was used. The type was rearranged accordingly, too.
