Exhibition catalog for Animali Metallici: Il culto dell’automobile nel XX secolo (Metallic animals: The cult of the car in the twentieth century) at the Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero.
From the futurist myth of the automobile in movement to the fascination for the aesthetic values of cars in the paintings of the twenties and thirties, the exhibition reaches the present with works by artists who have adopted the image of the machine, expressing interest or criticism towards it.
The catalog, designed by Headline, uses a combination of Modula Sans for headlines and 35-FTR for body copy to reflect the styles of early 20th century Futurist Italy. The catalog features embossed silver foil on the cover, yellow paper stock for striking text pages, and white pages for accurate image reproduction.
