Front and back of the foldout

Foldout brochure for El Al airlines, presumably designed by Otto Treumann in ca. 1970. El Al’s corporate font designed by Yerachmiel Schechter in 1960 is used as the Hebrew counterpart to all lowercase Folio.

El Al’s logo was designed by George Him and Otto Treumann around 1963. The corporate identity designed by this collaboration included the Latin and Hebrew lettering that can be seen on the inside at the top.

The price list itself pairs Folio with Aharoni for titles and Mirjam for body text. Although Aharoni was originally produced in two weights, following the Israel Presses Typeface Directory from 1972 at the printer (Peli Printing Works) only the bold version was available whereas from Mirjam only one weight existed at the time.
