During the mid-1970s, Electro-Harmonix (EHX) had established itself as a pioneer and leading manufacturer of guitar effects pedals. They were the first company to introduce, manufacture, and market affordable state-of-the art “stomp-boxes” for guitarist and bassists.

In 2002 they started designing new pedals to add to their range, and the Mono Synth is their latest addition. Sporting a clean modern design using Futura, it also hints at their vintage roots with the use of Eurostile (with hyper-extended ascender) and Marvin Visions (outlined).

  1. Congrats! That’s a fitting use for Marvin Visions.

For those who wonder: The Electro-Harmonix logo is in lowercase Skjald. Here’s a dedicated post about it.
